On May 8, 2024, Governor Katie Hobbs signed HB 2174 into law which allows public schools to request a standing order to stock glucagon, a lifesaving diabetes medication used to reverse hypoglycemia.
Phoenix, AZ - Today, Governor Katie Hobbs announced the creation of the Arizona Community College Workforce Scholarship Program, in partnership with Arizona’s community colleges, aimed at fostering a skilled workforce tailored to the evolving demands of Arizona’s growing and thriving economy. Since taking office, Governor Hobbs has made higher education and workforce development a priority, with this program giving the opportunity for 9-10,000 Arizonans to earn a credential, degree or build advanced skills in high-growth, high-demand fields.
May 1st, 2024 - Governor Hobbs celebrates the opening of 242 affordable housing units at the Reserve at Thunderbird in Phoenix. The project relied on state funding and collaboration across all levels of government.
April 25th, 2024 - Governor Katie Hobbs spends the day in Safford, meeting with county officials from Graham and Greenlee Counties, and city officials from Safford, Clifton, and Thatcher. She ends the day as keynote speaker for the Safford Spring Festival Sponsor Dinner.
April 25th, 2024 - Governor Hobbs visits GateWay Community College in Phoenix to announce the Community College Workforce Scholarship program, which helps Arizonans earn a credential or degree and build advanced skills that lead to jobs in high-wage, high-growth occupations.

April 22nd, 2024 - Governor Hobbs attends the 2024 Arizona Crime Victims’ Rights Week Award Ceremony and presents the Triumph Over Tragedy Award to Barbara Strachan for her work advocating for and empowering victims of crime.
April 17th, 2024 - Governor Hobbs meets with Sundt Construction leadership to honor their role in the construction of the Executive Tower in the 1970s.
April 17th, 2024 - Major General Kerry L. Muehlenbeck, Adjutant General of Arizona’s National Guard, and other members of the National Guard commissioned a challenge coin holder and presented it to Governor Hobbs. It is now proudly displayed in her office.
