November 19th, 2024 - Governor Katie Hobbs signs two historic Tribal water rights settlement agreements – the Northeastern Arizona Indian Water Rights Settlement Agreement and the Yavapai-Apache Nation Water Rights Settlement Agreement – settling four Tribal nations’ water rights claims. The signing represents a critical step toward ensuring reliable and sustainable water supplies for the Navajo Nation, Hopi Tribe, the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe, and Yavapai Apache Nation.

The tour highlights the essential roles of Task Force SAFE, a unit comprised of members of the Arizona National Guard. This task force plays a critical role in enhancing border security by assisting with secondary search and scan, rail inspections, and vehicle breakdown support.
