November 19th, 2024 - During National Apprenticeship Week, Governor Hobbs announces that TSMC is significantly expanding its apprenticeship programs in Arizona.

November 18th, 2024 - Governor Hobbs tours the Mariposa Port of Entry in Nogales, Arizona, underscoring the state’s commitment to border security. She was accompanied by key officials, including Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner, Troy A. Miller, Major General Kerry L. Muehlenbeck, DOHS Director Dr. Kimberly O'Connor, DPS Director Colonel Jeffrey Glover, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, and Nogales Mayor Jorge Maldonado. The tour highlights the essential roles of Task Force SAFE, a unit comprised of members of the Arizona National Guard. This task force plays a critical role in enhancing border security by assisting with secondary search and scan, rail inspections, and vehicle breakdown support.

November 18th, 2024 - Governor Katie Hobbs announced significant progress to stop the flow of dangerous drugs into Arizona. Task Force SAFE, comprised of members of the Arizona National Guard, is assigned to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, assisting the fight against illicit narcotics along the Southwest border. Guardsmen are stationed within the secondary search and scan, rail inspection, and vehicle break-down teams at ports of entry along Arizona’s border.

November 14th, 2024 - Governor Hobbs officially unveils the Future48 Workforce Accelerator training center at the GateWay Community College in Phoenix. The program aims to provide training opportunities to equip Arizonans for careers in the semiconductor industry.

November 13th, 2024 - Governor Hobbs speaks at the Governor's Celebration of Innovation, co-hosted by the Arizona Commerce Authority and AZ Tech Council. In her remarks, she announces key actions to advance Arizona’s leadership in technology, including the creation of an AI Steering Committee and the revitalization of the Institute of Automated Mobility as the Institute of Advanced Mobility with a focus on advanced air mobility.

November 11th, 2024 - Governor Hobbs participates in the 24th Annual Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, celebrating the outstanding contributions of Arizona veterans following their military service.

November 5th, 2024 - Governor Katie Hobbs convenes the first meeting of her Workforce Cabinet, discussing her vision to create jobs and strengthen Arizona’s workforce.
