Governor Doug Ducey Appoints Michael Peterson to the Graham County Superior Court

PHOENIX - Governor Doug Ducey today announced the appointment of Safford attorney Michael Peterson to serve the remainder of Judge R. Douglas Holt’s term as a Graham County Superior Court Judge.

Michael practices law at his own firm, the Law Office of Michael D. Peterson, P.C., where he has gained a wealth of experience in civil, family, criminal, and probate law.  Michael currently serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for Graham County and Greenlee County, and previously served as a Safford Court Assistant Magistrate for 10 years.  He has mediated hundreds of cases.  

“Michael brings a tremendous amount of experience from various legal areas to the bench,” said Governor Ducey. “Michael will be a great asset to Arizona, and I am pleased to appoint him to the Graham County Superior Court.” 

Michael has been a resident of Graham County for 16 years.

Michael obtained two undergraduate degrees from the University of Utah in 1996 and his law degree from Baylor University Law School in 1999.
