PHOENIX —  Governor Doug Ducey today traveled to Yuma to reinforce his commitment to advance economic development and opportunity throughout the region.

At an event hosted by the Yuma County Chamber of Commerce and Arizona Western College, the governor reemphasized his State of the State message and addressed his balanced budget plan with local business leaders and elected officials.

"The people of Yuma care deeply about their community, and for generations have worked hard to build a great city with a prosperous future," said Governor Ducey. "As home to two of the largest military installations in the nation, a national leader in agribusiness and  because of its premier location with the Colorado River  a hub of transportation and aviation, Yuma has become one of the most attractive places in which to do business and make a living. I will be a strong advocate for its continued economic growth, and I look forward to working with local residents, business leaders and elected officials to showcase the great quality of life Yuma offers."
