Governor Doug Ducey Announces RUCO Director

PHOENIX - Governor Doug Ducey today announced the appointment of David Tenney as director of the Arizona Residential Utility Consumer Office (RUCO).

"David Tenney has an active and extensive career representing Arizonans," said Governor Ducey. "Whether as an elected county official, business owner, firefighter or school board member, David possesses a strong affinity and efficacy for public service. I'm confident he will continue to represent and protect the interests of those he serves, and I'm proud to welcome him to our administration."

Mr. Tenney was elected in 2004 to serve on the Navajo County Board of Supervisors, representing Show Low, Taylor, Linden, Pinedale, Clay Springs and Heber/Overgaard. He was president of the County Supervisors Association of Arizona in 2012 and is the 2015 Chairman of the Navajo County Board of Supervisors.

In addition, Mr. Tenney has served on a number of local, state and national committees, including the Natural Resources Working Group, the Navajo County Regional Development Council, the Silver Creek Watershed Alliance Board, the County Supervisors' Association Legislative Policy Committee, Eastern Arizona Counties Organization, Environmental Economic Communities Organization and the Four Forest Restoration Initiative Steering Committee. 

Mr. Tenney attended Brigham Young University. He's an Arizona native and a lifelong resident of Navajo County. 

 Mr. Tenney's appointment as director of RUCO is effective February 16.
