PHOENIX — Governor Doug Ducey today announced the appointment of Elizabeth Thorson as interim director of the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA). Mrs. Thorson was formerly the Deputy Director of ADOA.
“Elizabeth has built an impressive amount of institutional knowledge at ADOA,” said Governor Ducey. “Her deep understanding of the department and its employees make her well-qualified to serve as Director. I am confident in her abilities to lead ADOA and ensure Arizona is a model example of good government.”
Elizabeth Thorson was appointed to Deputy Director of ADOA in May of 2018. Elizabeth oversaw the direction of policy and operations of the General Accounting Office, State Procurement Office and Human Resources and Benefits Services divisions.
