Innovative ride-sharing companies are flourishing in Arizona.
After one year of achievements in 2015—officially welcoming ride-sharing to our state, Uber’s economic partnership with the University of Arizona, and more—these companies continued to expand in 2016.
In June 2016, ride-sharing companies were finally able to start picking up passengers at the airport—and a recent economic study found that the ride-sharing service Lyft contributed nearly $40 million to the economy of Phoenix this year alone!
“By passing forward-looking policies, Arizona is quickly and proudly becoming a state where technology has to catch up with legislation, not the other way around,” Governor Ducey said last week.
