PHOENIX — Governor Doug Ducey announced today during his annual State of the State address that Arizona State Parks will offer free admission to all state parks and trails over Martin Luther King Day weekend:
“This year marks the 60th anniversary of Arizona Parks. . . . To kick it off, I’m happy to announce—free admission for all Arizona residents at all state parks and trails over Martin Luther King Day weekend.”
Arizona State Parks had an incredibly successful year in 2016. The agency achieved record visitation and revenue in fiscal year 2016—with more than 2.68 million visitors who contributed $16.4 million in revenue to the Arizona State Parks system.
Governor Ducey continued: “So put down the iPhone. Get outside. Enjoy some fresh air with your family. And take pride in living here.”
