Manny Cisneros

Manny Cisneros is Director of the Governor’s Office of Equal Opportunity, and a member of the Governor’s Cabinet.

As such, Manny is responsible for overseeing state compliance with equal opportunity laws in state employment, state procurement activity, as well as equal opportunity in appointments to state Boards and Commissions.

He is an Arizona native, born in Yuma and raised in Somerton. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, and his Juris Doctorate law degree from the University of California at Berkeley.

Manny serves as a Board member of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the Arizona Town Hall Academy.

He has served as a City Magistrate, City Manager and Treasurer, as well as community college instructor in Arizona.

He is currently working with cities and counties in Arizona to study the state procurement system, and to look at ways by which the Governor may act to increase participation of women owned and minority owned small businesses in contracting opportunities with the state.

He is married and the father of two sons.
